MULTIPLE IMMIGRATION FORM
|

Over the past months, the Mexican Immigration authorities have become slightly more strict when it comes to completing your FMM Card. Here are a few tips to help you with your FMM card known in english as the Multiple Immigration Form. This is the form that you are given on your flight and you present to the immigration officer before leaving the airport.

Tip #1 - Fill out the form completely including the bottom portion (smaller half)
Once completed, the immigration official at the airport will stamp both halves of the form and hand you the smaller half, stamped with the date you entered the country.
Tip #2 - The bottom portion is your Visitors Permit
It’s important to keep this document safe, as you will need to surrender it when you leave Mexico.
Tip#3 - On the form it indicates "Address in Mexico"
In this box, if you don't have the complete address you can put the name of the complex you are staying and where in the city it is located. Example: Molino de Agua / Zona Romantica
Tip # 4 - At the time of presenting your card to the immigration officer, Be honest about the amount of time you intend to stay in Mexico. If it is 30 days, say 30 days do not say a "week or two". They are looking for honest answers and an exact number of days.
Tip #5 - Fill out the form WHILE in the plane not in the airport. Long line ups will make you thankful this is completed ahead of time. You can also visit the official Mexican Government website to view the form.
