Josh and Rosario do a great job looking after our wee amazing complex.
A couple of things
1 it would be great to have a broom in each unit just helpful in keeping our unit clean
2 wonder why we got charged twice for insurance, if we had not split our stay between 2 units we would only have paid one insurance fee not two

We absolutely love EVERYTHING about Villa Sorpresa. We know that this summer there will be renovations done to unit 7 (which is the one we rented during the entire period - not unit 2), and these will be most appreciated. They concern a larger closet for the storage of clothing. Right now, the space is hard to access conveniently. We must also mention the hard work by Joshua, Jamie whose welcome and availability is top-notch. (We love the fresh flower arrangements in the community kitchen area too!) Rosario, the ever-present, pleasant housekeeper, keeps the entire project spotless. Her helpful disposition is definitely a highlight. We can't wait to go back.

Nos encanta absolutamente TODO sobre Villa Sorpresa. Sabemos que este verano habrá renovaciones hechas a la unidad 7 (que es la que alquilamos durante todo el período - no la unidad 2), y éstas serán muy apreciadas. Se trata de un armario más grande para guardar la ropa. Ahora mismo, el espacio es de difícil acceso. Absolutely loved my stay here. The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of the gay entertainment area, just steps from bars and restaurants, but still incredibly quiet and homey. The hosts are excellent: warm, responsive, and clearly care about creating a welcoming space. They have cultivated a community of returning guests, which really adds to the feeling of home. The kitchen is fully stocked, toiletries are provided, and the outdoor pool area is beautiful, with a bar, BBQ, kitchen, tables, and separate showers and washrooms. I’ll definitely be back!


Me encantó mi estancia aquí. La ubicación no podría ser mejor: justo en el corazón de la zona de ocio gay, a pocos pasos de bares y restaurantes, pero aún así increíblemente tranquilo y hogareño. Los anfitriones son excelentes: cálidos, receptivos y claramente preocupados por crear un espacio acogedor. It would have been nice to have two keys since there was two of us and we go in different directions sometimes because I was locked out one time when he left and I didn't know he was leaving.
Also when I left my towel at the pool on the chair someone came along and moved it and sat in the chair and then when I came back out they said oh do you want your chair and I was thinking well why do you think my towel was there.

Hubiera estado bien tener dos llaves, ya que éramos dos y a veces íbamos en direcciones diferentes, porque una vez me quedé fuera cuando él se fue y yo no sabía que se iba.
También cuando dejé mi toalla en la piscina en la silla alguien vino y la movió y se sentó en la silla y luego cuando volví a salir dijeron oh quieres tu silla y yo estaba pensando bueno ¿por qué crees que mi toalla estaba allí.

We were in unit 2, it was a little noisy in the morning because there were stairs right beside our room and people walking and talking woke us up.

Josh and Jaime are the perfect example of vacation rental hosts! My husband and I immediately felt welcome and taken care of the moment we had arrived on the property. The unit itself is the epitome of the "home away from home". Not only is it well designed and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes; everything you need for a longer stay is provided for your convenience. Rosario works very hard to keep the entire property spotless, and is always around to help if needed. I selfishly would have rather left a terrible comment in order to prevent people from booking at this villa in order to secure my spots in the future; however, Josh and Jaime (and the other guests of the villa) have now become such good friends that many people need to experience such a holiday there. We have already booked our next stay at the villa for the end of this year, and I cannot wait for our impromptu pot luck get-togethers, cocktail hours, and relaxing in that luxurious heated pool after a wonderful day at the beach!

Comments About the Vacation Rental Unit:
Villa Sorpresa is an excellent rental complex. It is beautiful and has a very pleasant 'homey' environment and feels safe and secure. The location is wonderful. We were four month tenants and would return without a doubt. We found it well maintained, clean, comfortable and quiet. For any minor issues which came up, the staff promptly addressed and remedied the situation. The apartment was well equipped with enough kitchen appliances, utensils, cookware, dishes, etc to be very helpful for our cooking needs. The bed, sheets, towels, etc were excellent. The A/C units worked perfectly. The internet, TV, cable system worked perfectly. The pool, common area, grill, etc always in great condition. The housekeeper for the complex was exceptionally friendly, helpful, courteous and did a great job. The onsite landlords were extremely responsive, courteous, friendly and engaging to the varying guests personalities. I feel this setup of having the onsite presence is a key reason for the great experience we received at Sorpresa, and we appreciated them.

Villa Sorpresa es un excelente complejo de alquiler. Es hermoso y tiene un ambiente 'hogareño' muy agradable y se siente seguro y protegido. La ubicación es maravillosa.
