I love siting close to the water near Los Muertos Beach Pier to watch a magical sunset + sip my favorite margaritas made with fresh lime juice + premium reposado tequila. This setting is inviting to enjoy table-side prepared guacamole + hear the ocean waves roll in while watching vendors stroll past. I’m always in the mood to dine on dishes inspired from all over Mexico + made from scratch. It’s just so relaxing here with that great beach vibe!

Still relatively new to PV’s culinary scene, this restaurant offers unique fusion dining. When I’m in the mood to have a contemporary experience using the traditional flavors of Mexico, this restaurant makes my list. I love taking time enjoying a specialty cocktail with a twist which could include part of an indigenous plant, flower, or even a tiny edible grasshopper! There are regular rotations of visiting Mexican guest chefs from across the country creating unique dishes with different flavor profiles. Even the interpretation of simple churros for dessert came to the table plated + elegantly styled, complemented by house-made ice cream.

Barcelona Tapas
I love sitting high above the city on an open-air rooftop eating fragrant paella with a beautiful view of glistening Banderas Bay. The house-made sangria, marinated fresh veggies + creative tapas are just the perfect combo to enjoy while gazing over stretched miles of Puerto Vallarta. Here is a place for gazing at the sunset as it glows over the ocean. The buzzy atmosphere is ideal for visiting with another table + perhaps make new friends!

Martini en Fuego
Be greeted with, “Welcome home!” when walking through the door of this unpretentious family-owned restaurant. Here is one of my favorites for mouthwatering grilled steak + daily caught seafood. Before the main meal, I regularly enjoy the succulent tuna sashimi as my appetizer! Chef + owner Roberto creates off-menu dining experiences perfectly cooked as well. I love hearing background acoustic guitar played by a very gifted local musician, too. Impeccable service + attention are paid to every table, making diners feel special while they are creating memory-making moments.

CoCo’s
Who doesn’t love French toast! Here is a Sunday brunch favorite destination: relax in a lush outdoor garden setting, wake up with hot coffee, green juice, + follow up with their Brioche-style specialty. It’s topped with house-made orange syrup, almonds, + fresh blueberries. What a taste sensation! It is so popular; sometimes I’ve waited a bit to be seated but it is always worth it!
