PVRPV Puerto Vallarta Vacation Rentals presents this beautiful studio, Casa Freya, situated in the nice and popular Selva Romantica development.

Selva Romantica is a wonderful vacation rental located in the heart of Olas Altas where you can find numerous activities such as shopping, dining, or just admiring the exquisite view. The condo is also 5 minutes or two blocks to the Famous Los Muertos Beach.

This studio-condo located on PARAISO tower is warm and inviting. From the large gorgeous infinity pool one can see 360 degrees of Vallarta.

The home enjoys partial bay views and city views. The complex also includes a full work out studio with all the state of the art equipment.

This is a great vacation unit with tiled floors throughout the home and wonderful decorations on the walls. It also has parking on premises. The maintenance people of Selva Romantica can get water jugs for you.

***NOTE: There may be some construction noise due to the construction happening in the neighbourhood.
***Due to the climate change, next Monday, April 15, 2019, the pool heater will be turned off. The Jacuzzi heater will remain turned on, as usual.

Please note Old Town/Zona Romantica is a relatively busy area within the city of Puerto Vallarta. You are in close proximity to city bus routes that offer daily service from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m., which provide easy access to downtown destinations and the surrounding areas. You are also in easy walking distance to a vibrant entertainment district in the evenings you may hear music from nearby bars and clubs, and the sounds of people enjoying these late night/early morning venues..

Puerto Vallarta is a safe, moderately large, bustling city with plenty of old world Mexican charm, with all the sights, sounds and flavors that come with that. Enjoy daily walks along the Malecon (boardwalk), visit the beach, fine galleries, amazing restaurants, outstanding stage shows and nightspots. You are just steps away from all the excitement..

Construction Notice

Puerto Vallarta is fast becoming a popular vacation hot spot and is currently experiencing rapid growth. As of late 2018 there has been a noticeable increase in construction areas within the Romantic Zone. Construction usually occurs Monday to Saturday during working hours, and may cause some noise and dust. Since there are numerous new construction sites, it is sometime difficult to get away from the additional activity during the day. We encourage our guests to take advantage of the various beaches and the other parts of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. For more suggestions contact our Concierge department..


CHECK IN and CHECK OUT

CHECK IN time for all properties is 3:00pm and CHECK OUT time for all properties is 11:00am. If you require early CHECK IN or late CHECK OUT please contact your PVRPV concierge.

Please note if you require a CHECK IN or CHECK OUT before 8am or after 8pm you will incur an additional charge of $500.00 MXN tax included which must be paid in cash, and collected by concierge..

Remember that Puerto Vallarta is located in Central Time zone (same as Mexico City, GMT-6).

You will be issued 1 set of keys per person for the property you are visiting.

Important notes:

  • Cleaning Services: The services included is based on a minimum rental of 7 days. In case your rental is less than this or require additional services the cost will be $500.00 MXN per day
  • Damage insurance: $ 681.45 MXN - Damage insurance non refundable is now mandatory for all clients. The deposit provides coverage to travelers in the event that damages occur during your stay. It also protects you from having to pay additional costs if any accidental damages happens during your stay to a property of up to $10,000.00 MXN. For additional information please refer to our Vacation Service Reservation Policy and Agreement.

The person that did the check in showed up shortly after I arrived, but the check out person was late. This is an issue when we have to get to the airport on time. Angel was available by cell phone when I had a question; that was great. The unit was clean, but there was no maid service during my stay and the only maid I saw came as I was ready to check out. I didn't mind since this was a short stay. The unit is very dark and the lamps and light bulbs used very weak. The bar stools in the kitchen island are not useful since they are too tall for the counter top. Some of the coffee mugs where dirty and might need a good cleaning or replacement.

My experience with your rentals before has been positive. This is the first time I had some criticism as I see this unit has a lot more potential, but it may falls short of the expectations compared to other units seen.

La persona que hizo el registro de entrada apareció poco después de que yo llegara, pero la persona de la salida fue tarde. Este es un problema cuando tenemos que llegar al aeropuerto a tiempo. I really like Selva Romantica. Casa Freya is nice, but it has too many memories since my husband passed away last May. He had been there with me on three previous occasions, and was planning to be there this year and next. I felt that losing approximately 24% of my deposit for next year was excessive, especially given the circumstances. I was asking for a refund a whole year in advance. I'm sure the unit will be rented after all. I may return in 2020. I am considering a shorter stay, perhaps a month, in a two-bedroom unit that I would share with a friend. I will look at your website. I am very pleased with PVRPV. The employees are always kind, helpful, and competent. I would especially like to thank Lorenzo, the gentleman who helped with the TV, the sofa bed, and plumbing problem. Also, Javier was very helpful with the TV. On my last full day, Friday, March 1, the shower overflowed and flooded the floor. Various people came and fixed the problem. Some residents said I should be compensated for that inconvenience on my last day. I did not bring it up with anyone. I know the sewer system in Old Town is being overwhelmed with all the new construction. All that said, I hope to return. Thank you.

Our unit Casa Freya was very dark. We opened the blanket hanging between the living room and bedroom to get more light in the unit. We would have coffee by the pool to see the morning light. We would turn on lights when they were already on all the time. The kitchen chairs were uncomfortable and you could trip on the rod iron legs. The bedding and furniture were well appointed and the unit was well decorated. There was no one to meet us when we arrived (on time as noted) but a masseuse saw us and called PVRPV. Our conceirge brought us in but didn't show us how to use the one of four remotes for the TV. zi guess we could have asked. And we had the option to meet our PVRPR person to get this info but didn't want to cut into our time as we were busy enjoying Vallarta. The construction was as described...noisey and constant...I think this was thorougly disclosed. We love Selva Romantica..it's a beautiful complex and we hope to rent again and also we hope the view of the bay from the pool is not taken away by another condominium!
Nuestra unidad Casa Freya era muy oscura. Abrimos la manta que colgaba entre la sala de estar y el dormitorio para obtener más luz en la unidad. Tomaríamos café junto a la piscina para ver la luz de la mañana. Encenderíamos las luces cuando ya estuvieran encendidas todo el tiempo. Las sillas de la cocina eran incómodas y podías tropezar con las patas de hierro. La ropa de cama y los muebles estaban bien equipados y la unidad estaba bien decorada. No había nadie que nos conociera cuando llegamos (a tiempo, como se indicó), pero una masajista nos vio y llamó a PVRPV. Nuestro consuelo nos trajo pero no nos mostró cómo usar uno de los cuatro controles remotos para la televisión. Supongo que podríamos haber preguntado. Y tuvimos la opción de conocer a nuestra persona de PVRPR para obtener esta información, pero no queríamos reducir nuestro tiempo ya que estábamos ocupados disfrutando de Vallarta. La construcción fue como se describe ... ruidosa y constante ... Creo que esto fue completamente revelado. Nos encanta Selva Romantica ... es un hermoso complejo y esperamos volver a alquilarlo y también esperamos que la vista de la bahía desde la piscina no sea eliminada por otro condominio.

Unit is dark, it is cluttered with a lot of stuff, I was there to rest so I spent a lot of time in the condo and the TV was the worst I\'ve seen my desktop screen is not only bigger but resolution is 1000 times better. all exterior features were excellent

The maid arrived at 4pm to clean my condo but I was getting ready to take a shower and asked her to come back the next morning. She agreed but I never sa get again, My condo wasn\'t cleaned once during my 11 day stay. Her English wasn\'t very good so perhaps she didn\'t understand me.

Overall very satisfied with my stay at Casa Freya. Only issue was that the Concierge did not have my change of booking on record, so no-one met me on arrival and I had to wait for someone to arrive. A couple of issues with the unit (hot water not working etc.,). But facilities such as the swimming pool, staff friendliness have been great.
Angel\'s helpfulness has been outstanding and we really appreciate his service. He helped arrnaged taxis on several occasions at short notice.

Everything was excellent. Always impressed with the staff and the Selva Romantica Complex! Still here in PV and already excitd about staying at Amazonas 7 next year.

Feedback for owners of Casa Freya. Under cabinet lighting in the kitchen so you can see when cooking and dishes in the evening. Also, upgrade the TV! Bigger screen and better channels. Even though we are on vacation it would be nice to keep up with our shows and special events that we missed such as the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards. Otherwise....excellent!

We enjoyed this studio condo for the second year in a row. The only issue we had was the water pressure in the shower was very low. That may not be something that can be controlled.
One other suggestion to the owner - a new, larger frying pan is needed. The only one in the kitchen is very small and most of the non-stick coating is worn off. Thanks. John and John

RULES FOR GUESTS

To preserve Selva Romanticas uniquely quiet, nature-friendly, residential oasis feel, the owners have agreed to abide by the following rules. If, for any reason, you are unwilling to abide by these rules, we request that you seek other properties for your stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Acceptance and Compliance with Rules Full compliance with these rules, and those established by individual buildings, is expected not only of all owners, but also their families, guests (whether they are paying for the privilege or not), visitors and employees.

Occupancy
Studios and one-bedroom units shall have no more than four (4) persons (owners and guests) in total in residence at a time. Two-bedroom units shall have no more than six (6) persons (owners and guests) in total in residence at a time. Owners and their guests may entertain a reasonable number of additional guests between 8:00 A.M. and midnight.

General Behavior and Courtesy
Mutual respect and decent and proper language are expected at all times. Orderly, peaceful and lawful behavior is expected at all times. We observe quiet time from 10:00 P.M. until 8:00 A.M. throughout the common areas, in individual units, and in the laundry facilities. No activity should disturb other owners and guests. Sound equipment volume should not be heard outside of individual condos. Clothes, towels and other items should not be visible from any common areas (on balconies, in windows or in corridors).

Administration and Security Functions and Hours
The office of Selva Romantica is open for business between 8:30 A.M. and 6:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, and between 8:30 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. on Saturday to deal only with owner needs and issues.

The office and security staff is not responsible for greeting guests, providing keys to guests or arranging tourist activities. The owner or the owners property management agency should provide arrangements for these needs. The owner or the owners property management agency shall provide a contact name and 24-hour telephone number to all guests for their use during their entire stay. Guests are requested not to contact Selva Romantica office personnel for assistance except for very serious emergencies involving security or health. Guests with other emergency and informational needs must contact the owner or the owners property management agency. If Selva Romantica office personnel are expected to fulfill these needs, a fee may be charged. Prior to arrival, the names of all guests and their dates of arrival and departure shall be listed with the office staff for use by the security staff. Guests not registered may be denied access to Selva Romantica. All guests must check in with security prior to entering the premises. Management agents escorting guests to Selva Romantica shall not ignore, for any reason, this requirement. Security guards do not have access to individual condominiums and cannot provide keys.

Pool and Gym
Use of the pool and gym is at ones own risk. There are no lifeguards or supervisory personnel on duty. Proper swimwear and exercise wear are expected. Incontinent persons and infants shall wear swim diapers. Suntan lotions and oils need to be removed prior to entering the pool or the gym. There is never any smoking in the pool, hot tub or in the gym.

Smoking is permitted in the large palapa but only with the permission and due consideration of others. Reserving furniture at the pool is not permitted.

Personal items and garbage shall be removed from the pool and gym areas when leaving. Other items left for more than an hour will be removed.

Please do not bring breakable containers, food or beverages of any kind near or in the pool, hot tub or in the gym. Water bottles are permitted in the gym.

Please do not place furniture or use footwear in the pool or hot tub. Please do not remove equipment, furniture or cushions from the pool area or the gym. Due to the small pool size, flotation devices should be of reasonable size. Sound systems of any kind should be able to be heard only by their operator. Guests are not allowed to host any large group or non-guest activities in the pool area.

Safety
Guests shall neither duplicate nor lend keys to anyone. Do not invite strangers into the complex for any reason. Please use precautions to prevent theft of personal and private property. Wiring changes must be approved by the Administration. Do not obstruct, in any way, any of the common areas, stairways or walkways.

Do not bring or store any dangerous and/or flammable materials into any common area or condominium.

Pets
Guests may not have pets on premises. Only owners in residence may have pets.

Garbage
To reduce rodent and insect problems, trash must be taken daily to designated green containers located around the outside perimeter of the property. (The trash cans located near the gym are for the disposal of pool trash only and should not be used to dispose of trash from individual condominiums.)

Enforcement
The Owners Association has authorized the Administration to refuse services or, if needed, to evict any persons who show an unwillingness to abide by these rules while at Selva Romantica. In addition, if the misconduct of guests or visitors is such that the assistance of the Administration or the security staff is needed, fines may be imposed by the Owners Association.

ADDITIONAL FEE FOR CLIENTS ARRIVING BEFORE AND AFTER REGULAR WORKING HOURS

Please be advised that if you are driving or flying to Puerto Vallarta, you must ensure that you plan your travels well and expect to arrive at the rented property no later than 8 PM. on any given day. Clients who arrive after 8 p.m., will incur an additional charge of $25.00 USD I.V.A Included which must be paid in cash. This will be collected upon check in. In addition, there is no check in time before 8 a.m. on any given day, otherwise, the same additional fee of $25.00 USD cash applies. Most of the properties allow a check in time of 3 p.m.


Inside security cameras

When cameras move inside, things get a little more complicated. Again, cameras are only allowed in areas where one does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Thus, store security cameras used to prevent shoplifting are generally okay. But, what happens when the camera is situated someplace where one expects privacy but that is also an ideal location for one to conceal store merchandise?

Similarly, other areas like rented rooms, hotel rooms, and locker rooms are generally off limits for security cameras. Again, the expectation in these places are for complete privacy, and one should feel comfortable undressing in these locations without having to worry about someone watching or broadcasting the footage.
