PVRPV gladly introduces you Casita Pacifico in Selva Romantica! This breath-taking development scattered seven 8-unit buildings around a small hill directly behind Los Muertos Pier in Old Town, Puerto Vallarta. The condominiums are all built in the traditional Spanish Colonial style. A beautiful infinity pool with spa and palapa is situated at the top of this hill and gives a splendid view of the town and the Bay of Banderas.

After your initial greeting at the main gate, you will take the walkway surrounded by lush landscaping, descending from the top of Villas Los Mangos to the lowest floor to enter your apartment. You are now free to drop your bags and leave the stress of travel behind you.

The condo is quiet and private; the way the building is situated provides north and east mountain views. You get a true indoor/outdoor feeling with a terrace that can be opened to the adjacent garden and living areas. From the bedroom you step down to a quiet patio. There are operable windows in each room each features a ceiling fan/light. The living room and bedroom also have individual air conditioning units. The large bedroom includes a king-size bed with down pillows, all-cotton sheets, and storage underneath for suitcases. There is an ensuite bathroom with large vanity and mirror, good lighting and a generously sized shower. A large closet will provide as much hanging and storage as may be required. Also included is a flat-screen TV with Roku streamer.

In the newly finished living room and terrace you will find a beautiful parotta wood table and 4 chairs, a premium leather queen sofa bed (easy to set up) as well as a new smart 50 inch TV. There is counter seating for two facing the adjacent kitchen. A niche cabinet contains glassware for drinks.

The kitchen has new appliances and contains almost everything you may need for cooking. On the landing, to the patio, there is a barbeque for outdoor grilling. The ice maker in the freezer is connected to the 6-stage water filtration system. Off of the kitchen, you will find a laundry room with a new full-sized side by side washer and dryer. There is a pole for hanging as well as an iron and ironing board. A full second bathroom adjacent to the laundry area will come in handy for guests or if you want to use the sofa bed and need to have access to two full baths.

This professionally decorated condo is our home and we want you to feel that it is yours while you are here. We chose PVRPVas our property manager so that you can feel comfortable that any problems that come up will be resolved in a timely fashion.

There is a phone at your disposal for local calls and also unlimited calls to Canada and the US. The internet connection is fiber optic and the modem is the latest Telmex model. The speed is very good.

Selva Romantica (romantic jungle) is a unique landmark gated property, professionally landscaped, with around the clock security. It is located central to all the shops, the popular beaches, the Malecon, and scores of high-quality restaurants. The old Mercado is within walking distance and, to explore further, the bus terminal is just a few blocks away- a local trip is only 10 pesos.

It should be noted that in Selva Romantica there are many stairs. There are three flights of stairs to access the unit even though it is on the first floor. There are also many streets in the hills of central Puerto Vallarta that deserve exploration. Bring good walking gear as the streets are cobbled together with stones that are sometimes loose or missing.

Please note Old Town/Zona Romantica is a relatively busy area within the city of Puerto Vallarta. You are in close proximity to city bus routes that offer daily service from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m., which provide easy access to downtown destinations and the surrounding areas. You are also in easy walking distance to a vibrant entertainment district in the evenings you may hear music from nearby bars and clubs, and the sounds of people enjoying these late night/early morning venues.

Puerto Vallarta is a safe, moderately large, bustling city with plenty of old world Mexican charm, with all the sights, sounds and flavors that come with that. Enjoy daily walks along the Malecon (boardwalk), visit the beach, fine galleries, amazing restaurants, outstanding stage shows and nightspots. You are just steps away from all the excitement.

Construction Notice

Puerto Vallarta is fast becoming a popular vacation hot spot and is currently experiencing rapid growth. As of late 2018 there has been a noticeable increase in construction areas within the Romantic Zone. Construction usually occurs Monday to Saturday during working hours, and may cause some noise and dust. Since there are numerous new construction sites, it is sometime difficult to get away from the additional activity during the day. We encourage our guests to take advantage of the various beaches and the other parts of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. For more suggestions contact our Concierge department.


CHECK IN and CHECK OUTS

CHECK IN time for all properties is 3:00pm and CHECK OUT time for all properties is 11:00am. If you require early CHECK IN or late CHECK OUT please contact your PVRPV concierge.

Please note if you require a CHECK IN or CHECK OUT before 8am or after 8pm you will incur an additional charge of $25.00 USD (tax included) or equivalent in Mexican pesos based on the exchange rate of the peso on the date of your payment, which must be paid in cash, and collected by concierge.

Remember that Puerto Vallarta is located in Central Time Zone (same as Mexico City, GMT-6).

You will be issued 1 set of keys for each person noted on the Booking Confirmation.

Important notes:

  • Cleaning Services: Our Standard Cleaning Services included are based on a minimum rental of 7 days. In the case where your rental is less than the time period indicated or you require additional services the cost per cleaning will be $25.00 *USD (tax included). This will be collected by Concierge on the day of the check in.
  • Damage insurance: Every client that makes a booking, is now required to pay an additional $35.00 *USD (tax included) which is for a non-refundable damage insurance. The $35.00 non-refundable damage insurance covers damages up to $500.00 *USD. For additional information please refer to our BOOKING CONFIRMATION POLICY.

We arrived in the POURING rain of January 1. Nobody was there to meet us. Finally a guard felt sorry for us and let us come in to the courtyard area and get under a shelter. The PVRPV rep showed up a few minutes later, and then realized he had the wrong keys so had to go back to the office and left us out in the rainy courtyard. I realize it was a holiday and there was skeleton staff, but not the best way to start a vacation.

The next day another PVRPV rep showed up to do a "check in". We told him the master bath toilet was leaking on the floor and he said someone would come the next day to look at it. No one ever did.

Two different nights coming back after dinner, a guard didn't have our names on the list. We said we had the keys and did he want to follow us to the unit. Not a huge deal, but they also questioned our girls that came home separately from us. It was about 9-10pm on all occasions, but kind of alarming when you think they're not going to let you go to your unit.

Despite these things, we really liked the unit and would definitely stay here again.

Llegamos bajo la lluvia del 1 de enero. Nadie estaba allí para recibirnos. Finalmente, un guardia sintió lástima por nosotros y nos permitió entrar al área del patio y ponernos bajo un refugio. El representante de PVRPV apareció unos minutos más tarde, y luego se dio cuenta de que tenía las llaves equivocadas, así que tuvo que volver a la oficina y nos dejó en el patio lluvioso. Me doy cuenta de que era un día festivo y había personal esqueleto, pero no la mejor manera de comenzar unas vacaciones. A pesar de estas cosas, nos gustó mucho la unidad y definitivamente me quedaría aquí de nuevo.

The light in the bedroom never work. Someone from PVRPV said they would replace the switch but it didn't happen before we left. Also the air conditioners in the unit are very old and very loud. I'd suggest that you have people meet you on the vallarta Street side of the building to avoid all those stair with tons of luggage. Also, it was never explained to us about the maid service it was appreciated but would have been helpful to know someone was going to clean the place during our stay. Also we weren't really made aware of the check out process. Just a little info about both in the kit would have been helpful.

La luz en el dormitorio nunca funciona. Alguien de PVRPV dijo que reemplazarían el interruptor, pero no sucedió antes de que nos fuéramos. Además, los aires acondicionados de la unidad son muy viejos y muy ruidosos. Te sugiero que te encuentres en el lado de la calle vallarta del edificio para evitar todas esas escaleras con toneladas de equipaje. Además, nunca se nos explicó sobre el servicio de limpieza que se aplicó pero hubiera sido útil saber que alguien iba a limpiar el lugar durante nuestra estancia. Además, no nos enteramos del proceso de salida. Solo una pequeña información sobre ambos en el kit hubiera sido útil.

RULES FOR GUESTS
To preserve Selva Romanticas uniquely quiet, nature-friendly, residential oasis feel, the owners have agreed to abide by the following rules. If, for any reason, you are unwilling to abide by these rules, we request that you seek other properties for your stay in Puerto Vallarta. Acceptance and Compliance with Rules Full compliance with these rules, and those established by individual buildings, is expected not only of all owners, but also their families, guests (whether they are paying for the privilege or not), visitors and employees. Occupancy Studios and one-bedroom units shall have no more than four (4) persons (owners and guests) in total in residence at a time. Two-bedroom units shall have no more than six (6) persons (owners and guests) in total in residence at a time. Owners and their guests may entertain a reasonable number of additional guests between 8:00 A.M. and midnight. General Behavior and Courtesy Mutual respect and decent and proper language are expected at all times. Orderly, peaceful and lawful behavior is expected at all times. We observe quiet time from 10:00 P.M. until 8:00 A.M. throughout the common areas, in individual units, and in the laundry facilities. No activity should disturb other owners and guests. Sound equipment volume should not be heard outside of individual condos. Clothes, towels and other items should not be visible from any common areas (on balconies, in windows or in corridors). Administration and Security Functions and Hours The office of Selva Romantica is open for business between 8:30 A.M. and 6:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, and between 8:30 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. on Saturday to deal only with owner needs and issues. The office and security staff is not responsible for greeting guests, providing keys to guests or arranging tourist activities. The owner or the owners property management agency should provide arrangements for these needs. The owner or the owners property management agency shall provide a contact name and 24-hour telephone number to all guests for their use during their entire stay. Guests are requested not to contact Selva Romantica office personnel for assistance except for very serious emergencies involving security or health. Guests with other emergency and informational needs must contact the owner or the owners property management agency. If Selva Romantica office personnel are expected to fulfill these needs, a fee may be charged. Prior to arrival, the names of all guests and their dates of arrival and departure shall be listed with the office staff for use by the security staff. Guests not registered may be denied access to Selva Romantica. All guests must check in with security prior to entering the premises. Management agents escorting guests to Selva Romantica shall not ignore, for any reason, this requirement. Security guards do not have access to individual condominiums and cannot provide keys. Pool and Gym Use of the pool and gym is at ones own risk. There are no lifeguards or supervisory personnel on duty. Proper swimwear and exercise wear are expected. Incontinent persons and infants shall wear swim diapers. Suntan lotions and oils need to be removed prior to entering the pool or the gym. There is never any smoking in the pool, hot tub or in the gym. Smoking is permitted in the large palapa but only with the permission and due consideration of others. Reserving furniture at the pool is not permitted. Personal items and garbage shall be removed from the pool and gym areas when leaving. Other items left for more than an hour will be removed. Please do not bring breakable containers, food or beverages of any kind near or in the pool, hot tub or in the gym. Water bottles are permitted in the gym. Please do not place furniture or use footwear in the pool or hot tub. Please do not remove equipment, furniture or cushions from the pool area or the gym. Due to the small pool size, flotation devices should be of reasonable size. Sound systems of any kind should be able to be heard only by their operator. Guests are not allowed to host any large group or non-guest activities in the pool area. Safety Guests shall neither duplicate nor lend keys to anyone. Do not invite strangers into the complex for any reason. Please use precautions to prevent theft of personal and private property. Wiring changes must be approved by the Administration. Do not obstruct, in any way, any of the common areas, stairways or walkways. Do not bring or store any dangerous and/or flammable materials into any common area or condominium. Pets Guests may not have pets on premises. Only owners in residence may have pets. Garbage To reduce rodent and insect problems, trash must be taken daily to designated green containers located around the outside perimeter of the property. (The trash cans located near the gym are for the disposal of pool trash only and should not be used to dispose of trash from individual condominiums.) Enforcement The Owners Association has authorized the Administration to refuse services or, if needed, to evict any persons who show an unwillingness to abide by these rules while at Selva Romantica. In addition, if the misconduct of guests or visitors is such that the assistance of the Administration or the security staff is needed, fines may be imposed by the Owners Association.

ADDITIONAL FEE FOR CLIENTS ARRIVING BEFORE AND AFTER REGULAR WORKING HOURS Please be advised that if you are driving or flying to Puerto Vallarta, you must ensure that you plan your travels well and expect to arrive at the rented property no later than 8 PM. on any given day. Clients who arrive after 8 p.m., will incur an additional charge of $25.00 USD I.V.A Included which must be paid in cash. This will be collected upon check in. In addition, there is no check in time before 8 a.m. on any given day, otherwise, the same additional fee of $25.00 USD cash applies. Most of the properties allow a check in time of 3 p.m.


Inside security cameras

When cameras move inside, things get a little more complicated. Again, cameras are only allowed in areas where one does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Thus, store security cameras used to prevent shoplifting are generally okay. But, what happens when the camera is situated someplace where one expects privacy but that is also an ideal location for one to conceal store merchandise?

Similarly, other areas like rented rooms, hotel rooms, and locker rooms are generally off limits for security cameras. Again, the expectation in these places are for complete privacy, and one should feel comfortable undressing in these locations without having to worry about someone watching or broadcasting the footage.
