Thank you for your continued support throughout the winter season of 2021 and 2022.

Here at PVRPV, we can say that we believe the worst of the pandemic is now behind us.  The beginning of 2022 saw records amounts of bookings being made for January, February and March 2023.  Next season should be phenomenal for all property owners. As quickly as new properties come on line with PVRPV, we are filling them for these prime months.  In fact, we are seeing guests booking now for these months in 2024.  Exciting times for all!

In the coming days, please keep your eyes open for an email about our summer preventative maintenance program.  This year we are opting to provide you with a survey-like selection process for the preventative maintenance program.  By replying to that upcoming email, it will indicate which items of preventative maintenance you would like for us to have completed in your vacation rental property.
 
Our new 5-day work week for all team members is now rolling into its second month.  This pilot project is offering our staff 2 days off to be with family and loved ones to rest. So far, the project is proving to be beneficial for our team members and productivity during business hours is trending upward.

Once again, we want to thank you for remaining our partners through the unprecedent times of living thought a global pandemic. Your faithfulness to PVRPV, your patience and understanding is very much appreciated as we recuperate and rebuild our team. We may not be perfect, but we do our very best to represent you well. PROMOTION UNTIL OCTOBER 31 2022
You’ve asked, we’ve listened. 
Many owners have told us they have had an exceptional season and they would like to capture as many summer bookings as possible. As we all know, the summer season is not the strongest season in PV.  Last summer we saw an increase over previous years because of the easement on pandemic travel restrictions etc. So far, the 2022 summer season is shaping to be a typical summer season.
 
For that reason, we are revamping the Stay 7 Pay 5 promotion. 

How does it work?
We adjust the weekly rate for your property to reflect the price of your nightly rate multiplied by 5 nights. It’s that simple. No online discount codes, or confusing instructions.

For some owners, they have already requested this promotion be linked to their vacation rental property. If your property is already listed as a part of the promotion “Stay 7 Pay 5”, we will automatically update your property to continue the promotion until October 31 2022. If you decide in the future that you would like to remove your property from this promotion, please follow the instructions below to log into your property owners dashboard.

In the past, The Stay 7 Pay 5 promotion has been very successful for many owners looking to add some bookings to their calendars during slow periods. Those that travel in the summer months are expecting deals and discounts. Although you may have a summer rate, this promotion is simple, effective and merely adapts your weekly rate to be your current nightly rate multiplied by 5.
HOW DO I GET MY PROPERTY ADDED
OR REMOVED FROM THIS PROMOTION?
Step 1 - Log into your Property Partners Dashboard https://www.pvrpv.com/account/partners
Step 2 – In Property Partners dashboard, on the left hand side of the screen you can see the new section called Promotion Manager
Step 3 
– Click on “Promotion Manager”
Step 4 – Once you click on the link for “Promotion Manager” your property or properties will appear in the center of the screen.

Step 5 – Click on the photo of “Stay 7 Pay 5”*
NOTE: If you property is already listed with this promotion it will say “ONLINE” at the bottom of the promotion photo
If you property is NOT listed with this promotion it will say “OFFLINE” at the bottom of the promotion photo

Step 6 – A “Pop up” screen will appear.
Step 7 – A drop down menu under “Change Status” will appear.  Select “Yes – Active ON” and then click “UPDATE SETTINGS”
To remove your property click on “No – Please do not list my unit” and then click on “UPDATE SETTINGS”
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THIS PROMOTION
At any time, you can opt in or opt out of this promotion.  Even if you are currently listed or sign up today, any time before October 31 2022, if you wish to OPT in or OPT out you can use the property owner’s dashboard login to update the status of your listing with this promotion.

UPDATE: TAX RETENTIONS & FORMULAS
From the onset of the new tax regime and rules for retention, there have been many changes.  Some have remained the same, some of changed and some were never quite clear.  Now that the dust has settled and the SAT (tax office) have clarified the processes, everything is much more straight-forward.  We are sure there will continue to be more changes as they are constantly making amendments to the process.  We will continue to update our system and practices as we have been.  Sometimes these changes can take many weeks to complete.  They are not just a click of a button as they impact everything from bookings, reports, tax retention reports, previously applied payments and more. 
 
You will notice when you receive a booking confirmation you now have a copy of the breakdown of the retentions and how it impacts that portion or that specific payment of the booking.  It is broken down by payments to the booking because some payments were made previously to amendments to the retentions and were submitted in that manner.

As you can see by the charts above, having an RFC has significant savings for the mandatory ISR (income Tax) retentions and allows you to claim your operating expenses against the tax when you file your annual return.  It also, provides an 8% IVA tax credit towards the 16% IVA we collect from the guests.  This tax credit is to offset the 16% IVA (sales tax) that you pay on many of the goods and services you purchase for your Vacation Rental Property. 
 
PILOT PROJECT FOR OUR TEAM MEMBERS
On May 02 2022, PVRPV announced that they would be the first Vacation Rental / Property Management company to switch to a 5-day work week.  (See official notice below).

Following a month of this pilot project, it has been successful. We are going to move forward with a 5 day work week for another month and following an employee survey later in the month of June, hope to implement it full time. 

We believe providing our team members 2 days off per week allows them to rest, recuperate and perform better. 

With these changes also comes new working hours.  Our working hours are now Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6:30pm.  Our property inspectors, maintenance, customer service, concierge and maids will be working these new hours.  

Absolutely NO major work will be performed during the hours of 5pm to 6:30pm (unless it is an emergency) Only light work that does not cause any disturbance or noise will be conducted during those hours.
