Like you, we had wished that the fallout and economic impact that COVID19 had in our industry would have been over at the end of 2020. Unfortunately, the impact has continued to follow us into 2021 but we have hope and with the promise of vaccines, better days are on the horizon.

In this month’s regularly scheduled update, we wanted to take the time to review our successful (given the circumstances) “Stay 7 pay 5” promotion and the Unique Circumstance Policy for COVID19.

Unlike mega online booking companies, because of property owners like yourselves we have been able to keep our staff employed, fed and paid. Many of our management team members stepped up to the plate by offering to forego traditional pay cheques to ensure everyone on the team got their share.

PROMOTION EXTENDED UNTIL OCTOBER 31 2021
As per the request and suggestion of many property owners, we will extend this promotion until October 31 2021. It has been very effective retaining guests that are faithful to PVPRV and to you.

How does it work?
We adjust the weekly rate for your property to reflect the price of your nightly rate multiplied by 5 nights. It’s that simple. No online discount codes,

If your property is already listed as a part of the promotion “Stay 7 Pay 5”, we will automatically update your property to continue the promotion until October 31 2021. If you decide in the future that you would like to remove your property from this promotion, please follow the instructions below to log into your property owners dashboard. If you are unsure if your property is listed, please visit our website to see your listing. If it is currently listed as a part of the promotion the photos of your listing will have the “Stay 7 Pay 5” banner.

The Stay 7 Pay 5 promotion has been very successful for many owners looking to add some bookings to their calendars. These are challenging times in the vacation rental and tourism industry. Flight restrictions and COVID19 testing requirements coupled with mandatory quarantine periods for returning guests have created a lull in bookings. The number of guests willing to travel under these conditions are limited. Those that are willing to travel are expecting deals and discounts. This promotion is simple, effective and merely adapts your weekly rate to be your current nightly rate multiplied by 5.
HOW DO I GET MY PROPERTY ADDED
OR REMOVED FROM THIS PROMOTION?
Step 1 - Log into your Property Partners Dashboard https://www.pvrpv.com/account/partners
Step 2 – In Property Partners dashboard, on the left hand side of the screen you can see the new section called Promotion Manager
Step 3 – Click on “Promotion Manager”
Step 4 – Once you click on the link for “Promotion Manager” your property or properties will appear in the centre of the screen.
Step 5 – Click on the photo of “Stay 7 Pay 5”*
NOTE: If you property is already listed with this promotion it will say “ONLINE” at the bottom of the promotion photo
If you property is NOT listed with this promotion it will say “OFFLINE” at the bottom of the promotion photo
Step 6 – A “Pop up” screen will appear.
Step 7 – A drop down menu under “Change Status” will appear.  Select “Yes – Active ON” and then click “UPDATE SETTINGS”
To remove your property click on “No – Please do not list my unit” and then click on “UPDATE SETTINGS”
PLEASE NOTE
At any time you can opt in or opt out of this promotion.  Even if you are currently listed or sign up today, anytime before October 31 2021, if you wish to OPT in or OPT out you can use the owners dashboard login to update the status of your listing with this promotion.

FLEXIBITLY TO CHANGE DATES
With so much uncertainty in the travel industry, in particular the airline sector, showing some flexibility for our guests is key. While we strive to maintain a unique, yet fair balance between the renter and property owner relationship, we must protect our property owners interest. With that, for bookings for the years 2022 and beyond, we are offering “date changes” 60 days prior to arrival (or greater) without fee or penalty to our guests. We will do so without change to our 60 day prior to arrival cancellation policy. We believe this will give our guests the security and confidence to book with us for their future travel. Should their travel plans change, we will be there to support them.
OUR UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCE POLICY
For some bookings in 2021 or until some “normalcy” resumes or restrictions ease in the travel industry, on an “as needed” bases we will continue to work with guests last minute cancellations to rebook or reschedule for future dates. Although, we believe we are through the worst of the last minute cancellations, we never know what governing organizations may do to impact the industry.

What is the Unique Circumstance Policy for COVID19 and what is the process?

• Guests submit their request for a cancellation.
• Upon review we determine if their travel is indeed impacted by COVID19.
• If the booking is greater than 60 days prior to arrival, the guest may cancel but they are encouraged to reselect dates for the future. 2021-2022
• If the booking is less than 60 days prior to arrive, the guest is reminded of the 60 day cancellation policy and are offered a chance to reselect dates in 2021 or 2022.

This is not the first time the travel industry has been impacted by this sort of situation. Companies that gained and retained customers were those that worked with their guests through these difficult types of situations. We remain committed to you by doing our best to promote date changes instead of cancellations when a cancellation is possible. We remain committed to our guests to work with them though these uncertain times in travel. In turn our commitment to them shows our continued commitment to you as a property owner by keep our mutual guests returning to us for their bookings.
