Thank you! For the dozens of emails of support, offering your property for those that lost their homes and inquiring how you can help financially.

If you would like to donate, we humbly ask you to donate anything to any of the families and businesses listed below. Your dollars go a long way in PV. Feel free to share! These are just a few options:
Incanto Vallarta has become a favorite piano bar and theatre for many of us. Tracy Parks has been a good friend to me and to the entire community. The first floor bar and theatre has been flooded and heavily damaged. If you can to make a donation, here is the link:  PayPal.me/IncantoVallarta
The Vallarta Food Bank will be providing much needed help to those who have lost homes and jobs despite one of the founders having devastating losses of her own. They are also feeding responders and clean up crews. They do good work and make a difference in the area.

The SPCA lost their sanctuary completely. They bravely evacuated close to 60 animals in the middle of the night during the hurricane. https://spcapv.com/donate/
Bonito Kitchen & Bar completely collapsed and washed away. The owner is one of the selfless founders of the Vallarta Food Bank. There is a Go Fund Me for the Bonito Kitchen staff.

INSURGENTES BRIDGE TO REOPEN IN DECEMBER
One of the 2 bridges, that connect El Centro and the Romantic Zone collapsed after the heavy rains that followed the passing of Hurricane Nora caused the Rio Cuale to overflow.

Great News!  The clean up is already underway and the reconstruction of the Insurgentes street bridge will take between 3 and 4 months to complete.  The current goal is to have it open in December before high season begins.

More Good News! To help with traffic flow for both vehicles and pedestrians, the other bridge located on Ignacio L Vallarta is OPEN to two-way traffic.
COVID19 NAVIGATING THE THIRD WAVE - UPDATE
After a month of closures, Puerto Vallarta bars have reopened with a 25% maximum capacity restriction as set out be the State of Jalisco.  The restaurants will remain as they have been at 50% capacity.  Beaches, retail shops, services and essential services all remain open with COVID19 protocols in place.  Hand sanitizing or washing and with the use of a face covering / mask is mandatory in most places.  However they can be removed for consuming beverages or food in restaurants and other places that serve food.
COVID19 UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES REBOOKING POLICY
From the on-set of COVID19 in North America, the majority of all travel companies, airlines, hotels, are offering deferred travel or travel credits for future use for guests impacted by COVID19. AirBNB, VRBO and other online booking agencies are offering full refunds.

What we have been doing and will continue to do on a case by case basis, will be to implement the Unique Circumstance Policy for COVID19.

What is the Unique Circumstance Policy for COVID19 and what is the process?
  • Guests submit their request for a cancellation.
  • Upon review we determine if their travel is indeed impacted by COVID19.
  • If the booking is greater than 60 days prior to arrival, they guest may cancel but they are encouraged to reselect dates for the future. 2021-2022
  • If the booking is less than 60 days prior to arrive, the guest is reminded of the 60 day cancellation policy and are offered a chance to reselect dates in 2021, 2022 or 2023.
While we navigate the third wave, we appreciate your support, confidence and loyalty.  Given that our mutual guests come from all over North America and the world, each traveller / guest is experiencing the third, and in some places the forth wave differently.  Some are in modified version of a shut down, some have fallen ill with COVID19, some have lost loved ones and some for health reasons cannot travel.  We are contacting each and every guest one by one.  We individually review their situation with them and do our best to accommodate if we can.  In cases where they are able to cancel because they are outside the 60 day cancellation policy, we do out best to rebook them for future dates to avoid a cancellation for you, our property partners.

Although, these situations maybe frustrating and unpredictable, we are looking forward to a great upcoming high season.

Based on what we are hearing in the travel industry, we believe that things are heading towards a time when COVID19 is manageable, that everyone all has adapted and learnt how to live with it in our everyday lives including travel.
