Casa Isabel Boutique Hotel Supports Charity Bingo!

We had a wonderful surprise weekend getaway at Casa Isabel. The prize won right here at Pasitos de Luz Bingo. We were shown to a beautiful 1 bedroom suite that was to be our weekend getaway. The views were amazing. We had friends in for cocktails and then an incredible dinner in the dining room. Again the views are out of this world and the food was absolutely delicious. Then a dip in the hot tub and off to a very comfortable sleep. The next day we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and some time by the pool. It was great!

Heat is on!!! – 2011 Heroes Calendar VIP Launch Party

The city’s firefighters are probably used to hearing words like “hot,” ”steamy” and “smoking.” But 24 of Puerto Vallarta’s bravest men need to get used to hearing those words used in a whole different context. That’s because they’ll be featured in the inaugural 2011 Heroes Calendar in some revealing (but tasteful) poses. Money raised from calendar sales will benefit the Department’s training program as well as the purchase of the latest state-of-the-art lifesaving equipment.

The final product will be unveiled at a calendar launch and autograph party on Wednesday night, December 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nacho Daddy’s Restaurant and Bar¸ Basilio Badillo, in Zona Romantica. Following the December release, the calendar will be available for sale at various locations throughout the City including Andale Restaurant & Bar, Andales on the Bay, Nacho Daddy’s Restaurant and Bar, PVRPV, Timothy Real Estate, Tropicasa Realty and Victors Bar & Grill.

Space for the Launch Party is limited to just 100 people so arrive early to avoid disappointment. Any assistance that you can provide to help promote this great event and cause would be appreciated.

CHARITY BINGO has returned in support of Pasitos de Luz – Week 5

Another wonderful night for Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz at Nacho Daddy!  The staff at Nacho Daddy had everything all set to go nice and early, which was a good thing as there were lots of early birds arriving to get the seats of their choice, and enjoy a leisurely dinner and cocktails before bingo began.   There were many repeat bingo players in the crowd and we saw lots of new faces coming out to join in the fun.  We even had a delightful family come in to catch a quick bite and play some bingo before rushing off to catch their plane home.

The evening started off with one of our donors, Micky Prost from Encore Boutique winning a game, followed closing by Tom Atkachunas of Cristalex and Kathleen Palmer from Déjà Nu Consignment Clothing.  Husband of volunteer Robin took home the night´s raffle prize, a gorgeous painting by Vickie Meza and PVRPV employee and volunteer, Armando Sánchez, won the 50/50 draw, BONUS!!!  Our donors and volunteers weren´t the only lucky winners, there was a crew from Bucerias that was walking away with lots of prizes too!

We were pleased to be joined by a couple of other generous donors who came to see it all in action, the lovely Rhonda & Felix Zarate of Pure Life Spa.  Each of the donors in the crowd were requested to give a little speech about their businesses in order to provide additional information to our bingo players on their donations.  Don´t forget that if you see a sponsor at bingo they are more than willing to answer any questions that you might have about the prizes you´ve won.

In the end, we raised another $11,525.00 pesos towards our goal for this worthy charity and had a ball doing it! ¡With a total of $67,454.60! We even received some items from the Pasitos de Luz Wish List.  Don´t forget to take a look at the wish list and bring along an item or two and receive a free bingo card.

Hot off the Press: Holiday Calendar Ignites Community Support

Known for fighting fires, not causing them, a group of Puerto Vallarta firefighters and lifeguards are threatening to set off some sparks on Wednesday, December 22nd.  That’s because their sizzling 2011 calendar, an impressive selection of smokin’ hot first-responders sporting ripped abs, spectacular pecs and bulging biceps will be on sale!  Details on the December Launch Party are under wraps but will be announced shortly.

Two dozen local firefighters and lifeguards posed for the calendar, which isn’t just about hunky bods, but serves as a reminder that we need to appreciate the real heroes –firefighters and emergency workers—who are busy saving lives and property 24-7.

The 2011 Heroes Calendar, featuring holidays in Mexico, Canada and the United States will soon be hot off the press, and for $200 pesos ($20 USD), a great way to support the Puerto Vallarta Bomberos and raise much-needed funds for on-going training and life-saving equipment.

“Our hope is to sell out and raise $200,000 pesos — nearly $20,000 USD — and show the community that our firefighters and lifeguards are truly committed to helping others,” said fundraiser organizers.

Special thanks to those who have graciously contributed to the production of the calendar in order that 100% of the funds raised support the men and women who bravely serve the Department with honor, dignity and compassion.  Sponsors and committee members include Adrian Elíseo Bobadilla García, Alma Salgado, Andale Restaurant & Bar/Andales on the Bay, BanderasNews.com, Casa Isabel, Cindy & Bert Ramirez, Coffee Cup, Gary Green, H. Ayuntamiento de Puerto Vallarta, John McCloud, Josef Kandoll Photography, Julie Guerrero, Lic. Hiram Fernández Abundis, Macleod Whitney + Associates, Marcelo Mico Pilates, Margaret Souder, Nacho Daddy, Patronato de Bomberos de Puerto Vallarta, PVRPV, Rich Kaufman, Tim Longpré, Timothy Real Estate, Tropicasa Realty and Victors Bar & Grill.

PVRPV’S NEW COOL BLUE CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF WITH A SPLASH!

Press Release

PVRPV.com
Contact: Tim Longpre
Email: Tim@PVRPV.COM
Phone: (322) 222-0638

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 6, 2010

ALL NEW website and an exciting PVRPV T-Shirt contest launched.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: The neighbors are giggling and the employees are scratching their heads!  The PVRPV office got an overhaul last night and everything has gone COOL BLUE, including the outside walls!  Employees arrived Monday morning to find their corner office on Pino Suarez and Madero awash in a new coat of cool blue paint, top to bottom. When they turned on their computers to start work, they found the website had an enhancement as well.  They were given new “cool blue” logins and passwords to the newest and most elaborate website for vacation accommodations in the Puerto Vallarta area.  After years of hard work, the NEW COOL BLUE PVRPV website is ready!

This launch has been the dream of PVRPV’s owner, Tim Longpré, for a long time now.  With the launch of this new super-dynamic website, customers looking for a vacation rental will be able to use advanced tools to narrow their searches to their exact need.  New functionality will allow users to do a number of things that were previously impossible. A few examples are: the ability to search in more than one area of town at a time, flexible date searches, specific amenities searches (i.e. WI-FI or ocean views) and much more.  Customers will also be able to save their searches by creating a unique profile that will remember what they like and help PVRPV match them with money-saving promotions and new products in addition to rewards for frequent stays.  Even more features will be rolled out in the coming months.

“Our team at PVRPV has taken into consideration the advice and desires of thousands of our customers and homeowners.  Their ideas and feedback helped us create the new website,” says President and founder of PVRPV, Tim Longpré.  Testing has been performed and this launch represents phase 1 only.  “The new website allows us to constantly improve and add features as we go.  We love it and we hope our customers will too,” Tim adds.  “I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

PVRPV has been the leader in vacation rentals in the Puerto Vallarta area since the launch of their first website in 2005.  They were the first to offer “real-time” availability searches and online booking.  They revolutionized the way most people shop for a vacation rental in the Vallarta area.  Now, they’re doing it again.

To make it even more fun, PVRPV is giving away a complimentary 7 night stay at the new, beautiful Molino de Agua building for the winner of its new t-shirt photo contest.  PVRPV invites all past customers to pull out their complimentary t-shirts they received at check-in and take a picture of themselves wearing it. Perhaps you wore the PVRPV t-shirt on a trip to another part of the world or to a sporting event or to mow the lawn.  Send us your photos!  Complete contest information is available on their brand new website http://www.pvrpv.com/contest/.
