Another reason to visit Vallarta! The Flower and Garden Show at the Botanical Gardens

Need an excuse to visit Vallarta? Already here and wonder what’s going on in the area? Here’s a great idea: If you haven’t been to Vallarta’s Botanical Gardens, you must go as this has become one of Vallarta’s most cherished attractions. The Botanical Gardens are located at Km. 24 marker, approximately 30 mins south of Puerto vallarta. on the scenic, historic “Carretera to Barra de Navidad” highway 200, the only road that goes south of PV.

You can arrive by bus by catching the bus to “El Tuito” at the corner of Carranzas and Aguacate street, in the Romantic Zone which leaves every half hour or so. This bus will return you to PV . Bus fare is 15 pesos each way. A taxi ride is about $20 US each way(From Old town Puerto Vallarta). Tell the driver you are going to the Botanical Gardens and after you pass thru Boca Tomatlan, keep watching for it on the right about 5 mins later. From the bus, its an easy 3 min stroll into the garden. Watch the traffic carefully when crossing the highway on the return (you’ll need to cross to catch the bus). You can flag down just about any thru bus and they’ll charge you about the same as the public bus (and you might get a much more comfortable seat).
